Might you be able to provide a list of the TBS products that should work with CrazyScan or is it just linited to the TBS 6925.

I am most interested in the TBS 5922

Thankyou in advance.

At this moment full support for devices with STV090X demods: Technotrend S2-1600 PCI; Omicom S2 PCI; Prof 7301-PCI, 7500-USB2, 8000-PCIE; TBS 6925 V1, V2.

Also full-supported for old devices with STV0288 demod like TBS8910,Prof6200,TeVii S420 and Technotrend S-1501 (not tested).

Restricted support for devices with STB0899 demod (no real BlindScan) - Technotrend S2-3200, S2-3600, S2-3650.

In near future can be easy added support for TBS QBox (5910), QBox2 (5920) and QBox-CI (5980). Only need drivers with I2C-access and fast LNB volatage switching calls.

A question for someone from TBS.
Is it likely that TBS will be able to provide this driver update in the near term.??

Thankyou

Hi CrazyCat!

I wonder, is it possible your blind scan modules to work/be adapted for other DVB applications, besides ProgDVB (e.g. DVBViewer Pro, DVBDream, SmartDVB, etc)?

Ask TBS for this :) Need only redesign driver BlindScan support like implemented in my StreamReader (single-step scanning). And this open way for DVB-soft developers for implementation hardware BlindScan (for example TransEdit now support brute-force software BlindScan).

ProgDVB engine have most advanced device modules architecture, so possible flexible extend interface. But another soft have monolitic architecture (like DVBViewer, TransEdit) or simple device modules like DVBDream, SmartDVB. So BlindScan support implementation depend from soft vendors and device drivers vendors (50%/50%)

Ok, thanks! Then I have to officially ask for this support from the TBS team (although I don't really know what it takes to implement this support in the drivers)! 8-) ;)

Hi all,

i can successfully go from easyblindscan to TSreader Pro and all works well.

But I can't for the life of me go from Crayscan to TSreader, I know you don't select the TBS6925 source but suppose to select TCP to stream, but there is no option for TCP in the select source window.

Please can anyone help as would love to be able to jump from crazyscan to TSreader.

TBS6925 card, Windows Vista & TSreader Pro.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Kev

Hi Kev!

Perform a scan with CrazyScan. Left-click on a spike to perform a blind scan. When the parameters of the transmission are found, check the "invoke analyzer" check box. A new dialogue appears where you have to set the path of the tsreader.exe. As soon as you do that, a second window appears where you may have to set some parameters. If you are using the TS Reader Lite, leave it blank (TS Reader Lite does not accept parameters, you will have to give the tcp parameters - ip and port - on the program itself), if you are using any other version of TSReader fill it with "-s TSReader_TCP %ip% %port%" (without the quotes). Save the settings with OK and start streaming by pressing the dark-blue DVB button.
