Solution for Mediaportal Sleep problem

Solution for Mediaportal Sleep problem

Postby steven » Fri Aug 24, 2012 2:02 pm

Hi All

Some users have reported that after suspend the mediaportal server config says
no card available, but with other DVB software it is ok, such as media center.

Two ways to solve it:

1st:
Please read this topic:
http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDI ... _detection
This is because MediaPortal TV Server only detects tuners on startup, not while it is running. So if the MediaPortal TV Server service starts before the driver/hardware is initialised by the OS, then the tuners will not be detected.

So you need to increase the delay time.

2nd:
Stop Windows adjusting the power level for PCI Express devices, switch the power saving off.

If you are experiencing such problem, just have a try with either solution.

Any problem or feedback are welcome to post here.

Kind Regards

Hello

Its a problem with a other software too.
I use DVBVIEWER and DVBDREAM when i start my pc than the software knows the DVB card.
After a reboot/standby the software cannot find the card but in the hardware overview from windows the card is detectet without errors.
When i do a shudown and a restart the software knows the card.

i use the latest driver 1.0.1.16 under win7 x64
