TBS6925 Loopthrough

TBS6925 Loopthrough

Postby digicon » Tue Mar 12, 2013 3:33 am

Hi To all members,

I am a new owner of the TBS6925 card and love it but have hit a snag i am unsure if the card is faulty or if it is designed this way, the problem is the Loopthrough connector on the Card itself i am unable to get this to work correctly so to speak. The only way it does work is if the computer is switched on and i have locked the card to an active transponder and then the loopthrough works.

I had imagined that it would work some other way like a standard satellite receivers loopout function in standby, But mine only appears to work when switched on and being used.

Could anyone clarify this for me.

Many Thanks

Hi Crazycat,

Thank you for the answer, so if the loopthrough cannot pass LNB voltage then why have this connector on the card at all it's a little baffling that they put this connector on but it does not function the same as what a Standard satellite receiver loopout does.

OK then at lest now i know not to connect this loopthrough to another receiver i have as it does not work.

Thank you Crazycat for the simple answer.

Maybe I'm the only one but I use the loop through like that all the time.

That is fine for some people but the actual term for loop through on most receivers is once switched into standby then the loop through sends the lnb voltage to another receiver, Which does not need to be switched on all the time

I agree with that. It would be quite handy to feed a second DVB card we have in the pc from the loop through of the 6925 when it is idle, instead of feeding the card with a second cable (twin LNB) or by moving the cable from the fist card to the second all the time...

As it is now the loop through works only on the same band and polarity the 6925 is locked on.
