LNB Current Limit ?

Postby Ralf8 » Wed Jul 24, 2013 6:07 pm

Nowhere I can find the limit of current which the 6925 is able to supply.
Does somebody know this value ?

Thanks Ralf8

Its probably 500ma, thats pretty common.

Its not often users need more, and when they do its usually a high lnb count situation where a powered multiswitch would help the resolve the situation.

Hello Ralf8 and updatelee
i work with the TBS 6925 PCI card since a year with no one problem.
3 month ago i connect a new KA Band PLL LNC and after a short time i use this LNC
the card was defective also the next new TBS 6925 Card brokes in a short time
the error of the cards shows up that i cannot receive DVB S2 signals errorfree
DVB S signals are ok.
now i have the 3rd TBS 6925 card and a external power supply for the KA Band PLL LNC
now the card works with the KA Band PLL LNC ok
This KA Band PLL LNC needs 240m Ampere all other LNCs only 70m Ampere to 150m Ampere
so i think this TBS6925 PCI Card tolerates no power over 150m Ampere
it is a pity it does not work otherwise without external Power
a friend of me works also with the same KA Band LNC and the TBS5925 USB Box
and after a short time of using the USB Box is verry hot.
have anyone a idea and can help me in this case?

The card passes the video data raw the codecs decode it, so if the colors are wrong or the video is blurry it's not the card that's at fault it's either a poor video feed from the satellite or something on your end, codecs etc.

Can you post a screen capture?
