Blindscan 3.0.0.8 (Solved)

Postby Geezerjem » Mon Jan 16, 2012 2:05 am

Hi all,
Just tried Blindscan version 3.0.0.8 and it still doesn't work properly.

Good :
Still doesn't crash
Still seems to leave the card in a mode that can be used by other software.

Bad :
Doesn't do a blindscan properly

I'm currently poining at 8W, watching a live feed of the capsized cruise ship. There aren't many channels on this satellite.

I scanned the low band :
;file generated by TBS Card - http://www.tbsdtv.com
[SATTYPE]
1=1050
2=TBS-BlindScan (105W)

[DVB]
0=9
1=11227,V,27502
2=11315,V,27500
3=11391,V,27500
4=11590,V,19999
5=10964,H,14000
6=11045,H,8499
7=11219,H,27500
8=11257,H,27500
9=11295,H,27499

then scanned the High band :
;file generated by TBS Card - http://www.tbsdtv.com
[SATTYPE]
1=1050
2=TBS-BlindScan (105W)

[DVB]
0=7
1=12077,V,27502
2=12165,V,27500
3=12241,V,27500
4=12440,V,19999
5=11814,H,14000
6=11895,H,8500
7=12145,H,27499

what you can't see here (because it STILL DOESN'T SAVE IT) is the FEC and S2/8PSK business.
These two are the same S2 8PSK channel:
Low - 5=10964,H,14000
High - 5=11814,H,14000

the software just seems to add 850 to the low band scan to make the high one. This is verified by comparing other frequencies in the list.

One thing that would really help would be to use the actual signal frequency not the one that comes into the card , i.e. for normal Ku band stuff it's 10700-12750 not the 950-2150 that's shown by the software. If I'm looking for a signal around the 11950 mark I want the software to do the calculations not me ! This would also enable the removing of the Low Band / High Band selection option.

Hmmph again,

Jem.

Hi Geezerjem

We just have tested this with TBS8921 and TBS8922 all is ok Low band and High band.

So would you mind tell us that is your signal direct connect to our card?

Do you have used multswitch?

Thanks
steven
