ok. i've installed with this revision. make and make module went ok, but now i have problem with virtual adapter.
when i try to use it , my card can't tune (no signal) even with fta channels.

afrer load dvbloopback module dmesg shows:
Code: Select all

now i'm starting sasc-ng

it seems started. could you tell me if this is proper start of sasc-ng?

im trying start FTA channel:
Code: Select all
[email protected]:~$ szap -a 1 '4fun.TV(CYFRA +)'
reading channels from file '/home/marcin/.szap/channels.conf'
zapping to 890 '4fun.TV(CYFRA +)':
sat 0, frequency = 10719 MHz V, symbolrate 27500000, vpid = 0x00a3, apid = 0x005c sid = 0x1134
using '/dev/dvb/adapter1/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter1/demux0'

and silen. nothing is going on :( (i pressed ctrl+c)

dmesg shows (only ones, the first time):
Code: Select all
[ 2138.636105] dvblb_fake_ioctl interrupted: 4

When i try to shap scrambled channell it's the same as with the fta channel - silent :( ans sasc-ng log (in this case on console) is silent too :(

if i try to run kaffeine with runnig sasc-ng then kaffeine is hanging :( and won't start :(
if i disable sasc-ng and try tu run kaffeine, its says:
Code: Select all
kaffeine(17673) DvbLinuxDevice::identifyDevice: couldn't open "/dev/dvb/adapter1/frontend0"
kaffeine(17673) DvbLinuxDevice::identifyDevice: couldn't identify device

why i cannot tune card on virtual dvb? or what do i wrong still?

Code: Select all

Make sure mutex patch is applied for drivers linux tree (apps should hang on device if it is not applied, in "forever loop"). Kill all kaffeine processes to release device (find it with ps -ef|grep kaff ).
DONT use kaffeine 1+, use only kaffeine 0.8x versions (best testing would be with gxine).

It was that.
i applied patch to previously installed tbs drivers.
this time i downloaded tbs drivers to other directory, applied patch and installed. and it's worked :)

Hi,
does anyone tried to install sasc-ng on Ubuntu 11.10 with kernel v. 3? Do you think I can use above tutorial for it as well? Do I still need to patch the drivers?
Thanks
Vojta

Make sure you have CLEAN installation. It works perfect for me with 3.X kernels.
