Frontend module issues

Hi,

This is really a follow on to a previous topic in this forum. After a period of time - usually following a period of inactivity (i.e. no streaming) tvheadend basically fails to stream any data. When I look at dmesg I see the following:

This is repeated until I power off, wait and power the Qbox back on. Simply rebooting is impossible. Equally I cannot rmmod (or modprobe -r) the relevant modules because they are "in use" despite no software on the system accessing them (i.e. tvheadend has been shut down). I do wonder if this is a firmware issue or perhaps a hardware problem - is it some incompatibility with tvheadend (I don't think so - least I don't think this is a tvheadend issue)? Whatever the issue it's pretty annoying that I must power cycle the qbox so regularly.

can be caused only by fault in your box and it need to be replaced with new one as part of the support/warranty process. in any case, because obviously such things as replacement can happen through a forum, which seems to me is a major reason why some users don't receive proper technical support i made a short article about how to report a problems:
