Bluescreen with TBS5980 driver 1.0.3.1 on Win7

Postby ccristal » Sat Dec 13, 2014 8:01 pm

Hi!
I just installed the latest driver (v1.0.3.1) for QBOX CI TBS5980, and I get blue screen every time I run a EPG update using EPG Collector (http://sourceforge.net/projects/epgcollector/) .
Reverting to driver 1.0.2.8 fixes the problem.

Here's the minidump: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6sitookj1l3ak12/121314-16052-01.dmp?dl=0.

I hope this helps.

Just to confirm, I also have a Windows 7 (x64) system with 2x TBS5980, and when I upgraded from the v1.0.3.0 driver to v1.0.3.1 I also suffered BSODs as soon as the TBS5980 was asked to tune (using MediaPortal). I then went back to the v1.0.3.0 driver and all is fine. What's the changelog associated with the v1.0.3.1 driver? Happy to work with TBS to get this resolved if required.

Thanks luchy, I've just installed the updated 1.0.3.2 driver. During the installation I received a "Windows Security" error, see attached. I clicked "Install this driver software anyway" to continue with the driver installation. As a test, I tried a couple of channels and all seems fine. I will be in touch if I experience any issues.

OK, the v1.0.3.2 driver doesn't crash, but... with that version I do have a problem with the CI module in the sense that it doesn't seem to descramble with the v1.0.3.2 driver. It works fine with the v1.0.3.0 driver, so I've gone back to that one again. As stated in my earlier post, I use MediaPortal, version 1.10.0 with the required TBS patch.

With the v1.0.3.0 driver I see this:
