The updated driver did not seem to work for me. I'll try some things tomorrow and see if I can getting it working.

So to clarify, low frequency channels NOT present and I can't get them back by powering down any more.

Is there a way I can find out what firmware version I am running. My upgrade trail has been different to Imperia.

Can you tell me some channels that you cannot tune to. If possible not on Astra 2D. I will check if i got them on my multifeed.
You have to uninstall driver from device manager .. Several times +deleteing the files(the checkbox there).. When you plug your 5922 and see Unknown Device.. this means everything is uninstalled correctly. then run the 2028_new exe and see if it works.

PS. BBC One HD and Channel 4 are on UK beam only of Astra 1N. Too far away from my country. Can't tune to those

please sign that version of the driver and release it.

also can you release linux driver with the same changes. i never made my card to work with VDR. I have reports that PCIx cards work with it.

I've done some more 'playing' (deleting drivers repeatedly rebooting and powering up and down the 5922) and got it "working" with 2.0.2.8.

Until I had this problem I only had 2 channels tuned in BBC HD and BBC One HD using driver 2.0.1.3 and it was fine. Following an unrelated problem I updated the driver. After that these 2 channels started to disappear and require a power down of the 5922 to get them back.

Using 2.0.2.8 and 2.0.1.3
I have been able to see the BBC HD and BBC One HD and also tune into Channel 4 HD but any attempt to view a higher frequency channel causes BBC HD and BBC One HD and Channel 4 HD to disappear. I can still view the higher frequency channels.

Using 2.0.2.8
The channels are NOT restored following 5922 power down. I had to go back to 2.0.1.3 to see the channels again.

Using2.0.1.3
A 5922 power down restores the missing channels.

Scanning for new channels normally (but not always) causes BBC HD and BBC One HD Channel 4 HD to disappear. The only other channel I really want is ITV HD but a manual scan does not find this channel (and causes BBC HD and BBC One HD and Channel 4 HD to disappear)

These are the channels I want to work:

BBC
Frequency: 10847
Symbol Rate: 23000
Polarization: V
DVB-S2

Channel 4
Frequency: 11127
Symbol Rate: 22000
Polarization: V
DVB-S2

ITV
Frequency: 10832
Symbol Rate: 22000
Polarization: H
DVB-S

I am struggling with this because it is just not consistent and I am finding more issues the harder I look….

2.0.1.3 you mean 2.0.1.6?

And those channels are only on the UK's domestic beam. Sorry I can't tune them to check them.

What is the software you are using and what version is it?

I mean 2.0.1.3.
The 5922 was a replacement for a QBOX 3 which I originally bought but that could not receive the channels I want either. After a few weeks it failed completely and I was sent a 5922. Hence I have no manual or or set up CD. The driver on the website at the time was 2.0.1.3

I'm using DVD Dream 15g (The latest version, which I have tried wont do timed recordings, which is all I use it for) and TBS Viewer 1.0.2.158

The problem is the same on both

not sure what those options rolloff and pilot means. maybe there are worth experimenting with?

In the device settings there is another device that works: BDA DVB-S/T/C ATSC Device.

Try finding other channels that doesn't work for you, Not on the UK beam. So I can tune them aswell and check.
Also do you have good signal on those transponders?

And don't forget to uninstall the driver several times until its really gone. tbs's uninstaller does nothing it seems.

I'll give the driver and Smartdvb a go.

Now that I have restored 2.0.1.3 and (as per your advice) removed all previous drivers I seem to have returned to a pre-driver update state. The channels have not gone missing for several days As long as I don't try to use other channels or scan....

Just a thought I wonder if there are two problems, one relating to low frequency and the switching between "S" and "S2"

I'm a bit short of time at the moment but I will see if I can find some other channels that don't work (not UK beam). Signal strength and quality are both pretty good ( 97% and 75% repectively). I did notice that under 2.0.2.8 quality improved to the high 90%'s

i wonder if those 2.0.2.8_new (2nd edition) drivers will be released for 5922?

also it would be very nice to post changelog for drivers windows and linux?
