the open source driver should have its own subforum...
may be it could be referenced at the official drivers download ? with the difference to the official explained , a bit like the black hole firmware at vu+

beside that , i tried to compile the driver with the Linux Mint Debian 2 , i had few warnings and the last make did not finished well...
here are the last lines of the make command :

LD [M] /root/media_build/v4l/zr364xx.ko
make[2]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/linux-headers-3.16.0-4-amd64'
./scripts/rmmod.pl check

here is the display when i re-enter make :

Hi jcgeny

I tested with OpenSuse 13.1 and Debian 7.8.0-amd64-kde.
I have not written the driver. The driver was written by Luis Alves <https://github.com/ljalves>
Sometime the problem is v4l, if you try another day it work, because the people of v4l update your repository.
if you have time, on Debian try: https://bitbucket.org/updatelee/updatedvb and https://bitbucket.org/updatelee/v4l-updatelee. Sometimes work and sometimes not work this blindscan.

Regards
Alfredo
