Finally worked out that it is only one tuner card that will not work from sleep mode does that mean that the card
needs replacing.

Windows 8 support our driver you can use our latest driver to have a test ,
later we will release the official driver which build with VS2012 and WDK 8.

You might like to try this test:

(1) Remove the card that does not work from sleep mode.

(2) Remove the card that does work from sleep mode and replace it with the card that does not (i.e. put the non-working card in the working motherboard slot).

If the non-working card still does not work, it looks like a problem with the card (maybe replace it under warranty?).

If the non-working card now works, it looks as though you have a problem with one or more of the slots on your motherboard. The reason that I suggest this is that I had a similar problem with two TBS 6284 cards (one missing from device manager on wake from sleep). In my case it seems to be a slot/BIOS problem, since I have other cards that do not work in those problem slots when woken from sleep.

I'm currently experancing my tuner disappearing after resuming from sleep. I'm running a gigabyte z77x-d3h with a i7 3770k cpu and windows 8.1. I've tried everything from moving to another slot or limiting slot speeds etc. Driver im using is 1.0.5.2. Any new updates to this?

they didnt fix this yet. and they dont want to fix it either.
