The promble maybe is your system reason. you can search" windows 8 X64 The parameter is incorrect" in google. you will get many result.

I see... but I just installed the TBSVHID setup executable file and still got that message. I do not know which file I should be replacing.
Anyway, I also used WinLIRC (no need to install) and it seems to work ok. Just that I seem to find response somewhat sluggish, like I need to press for about 1-2 seconds before it respond.
