[SOLVED] make halts with missing file

File not found: /lib/modules/4.4.13-desktop-1.mga5/build/include/linux/netdevice.h at scripts/make_config_compat.pl line 15.
What is my next best move please?
As I searched, I realised there were other problems too and in the end had to reinstall the operating system.
It is fine now.
