Card availability and tivusat

Card availability and tivusat

Postby NewsFloat » Thu Apr 26, 2018 12:58 am

1. In the products page and forum I only see the TBS6928(SE). In the shop it is reported as sold-out and the "Successor" button links to the more expensive TBS6528.
My questions: is the TBS6528(SE) available? Which is the newer card of the two and what are their differences?

2. Can someone confirm if the TBS6528 (or TBS6528SE) will work with the Italian tivùsat? They use both CI and CI+ CAM's (I have access to both) and offer SD/HD/4K channels.

Thank you

Hmm ok, I got a bit confused. The 'Successor' button actually leads to the TBS6528, which is a different card: it's multi-standard. So I'm still not sure what is the status of the TBS6928SE or TBS6928.

One more self-answer which I got from here.

TBS6928SE is the updated version of TBS6928, with a different chipset, more powerful.

The main question remains, is this card available somewhere?

Thank you steven. The 6910 looks great but a bit out of my budget unfortunately. I could consider USB but it seems the TBS5980 is also not available, only the 2xCI 5990.

Do stand-alone CI/readers exist that can be used separately with existing TV cards? I have no idea. I don't know if these readers can be used for this purpose.

Thanks again. That's complicated stuff... I'll try to figure things out. If someone knows more details, feel free to PM me.

Hope you can release single-CI cards again soon.
