Not enough bandwidth. Possible stunts?

I have two TBS6618 that I have to transfer to a motherboard with only one PCIe v3x4 slot free, the rest of the free slots are of the type PCIe v3x1. From my experience, the PCIe v3x1 lacks of sufficient bandwidth. It takes as a minimum v3x4 to get the cards to work. My question is, are there any stunt tricks to apply somewhere to make a DVB card such as the TBS6618 to work in a PCIe v3x1 slot?

Case closed.
It shouldn't be a question about insufficient bandwidth since TBS clearly states that PCIe v3 with a x1 lane is all it takes to make a TBS DVB card to breath with ease. And it isnt', because they can. But not with the motherboard I use. At least as long as you don't manually make changes to the PCIe settings into the motherboard BIOS. I should have learned by now that 'auto' settings almost never work as intended, hence my two TBS6618 tried to 'breath' in slots set to PCIe v1 x1 speed. No good. After BIOS changes, perfect. Anyway, case closed.
