Windows 8 support and Debian Wheezy

Postby lmatusz » Sat Mar 02, 2013 4:19 am

I have the TBS6618 card with Technicrypt Conax CX module(with card inserten into it from my Turmak provider) running on Windows 8. I had no luck to run DVB Dream or TBSViewer to display channels from my cable tv provider (www.turmak.pl). Can this be a problem that Windows 8 drivers are not released yes ? When i used to do channel scan it correctly scanned some channels, but when i used to click on some channel i got following message:
"
All capable DVB adapters are busy.
No free Device has been found
"
I also tried running on Linux Debian Wheezy with kernel 3.2. I installed your driver and tried dvblast or kaffeine to scan channels.
I know that my cable tv provider uses 256_qam modulation, sr 9600, and channels starts from transponder 706000 kHz.

Please help or announce that windows 8 will be supported.

Best regards

I have also installed mythbuntu to check that the card is working. I have installed all drivers from you site. In attachments are logs you require.
Maybe i do something wrong with configuration of mythtv ?

Can you send me typical configs for OSCam 1.20 ? I know that i got SINGAL STRENGTH same as Bit Error Rate in dvblast (becouse the program was crypted). I have Technisat Technicrypt Conax CX module (http://www.streamboard.tv/oscam/wiki/Ca ... B00:000000). I am almost sure that it will work with OSCam. I found this link on web http://www.sharkyville.com/mythtv-foxte ... -ng-how-to, but it is old and i do not know what reader i should use etc.

hi, your logs in Linux seem fine - no errors. so, what happens if you run:

#gnutv -cammenu

can you access the menus of your CAM module in that way?

Code: Select All Code
$ gnutv -cammenu
CAM Application type: 01
CAM Application manufacturer: 0b00
CAM Manufacturer code: 0001
CAM Menu string: Conax Conditional Access
CAM supports the following ca system ids:
  0x0b00
------------------------------
Conax Conditional Access
Main menu
0. Quit menu
1. Subscription status
2. Event status
3. Tokens status
4. Change CA PIN
5. Maturity Rating
6. Ordering online
7. About Conax CA
8. Messages
9. Language
10. Loader status
Press OK to select, or press RETURN

If i enter 7 then i will get my card serial number (that is cart inserted into CAM CONAX Module).

I also tried to do some steps from post:

viewtopic.php?f=77&t=8264

(especially with scan command), but it fails to find any services (TV, Radio...).

So i have two systems Windows 8 MCE and Mythbuntu and none of them works.

Please help.

I was able to solve problem... it was weak signal comming from my cable tv provider. Now it seems to work, but i am resigning my cable tv to terrestrial tv.

Thanks and sory for bothering. :)
