TV Tuner TBS6618 not working with inserted CI card

Postby alesm2015 » Sat Nov 23, 2013 1:42 am

Hi,

A while ago I bought DVB-C TV Tuner TBS6618 card and I’m trying to use it on Win 7 64bit OS. Currently as a TV viewer I’m using the DVB dream v2.3b OEM. I also installed the latest drivers v1.0.0.3. But unfortunately I can’t get TV card working; I encounter the strange problem. If I remove the CI card and I try to scan for channels, I find all the TV channels (from mine local TV provider in Slovenia). I get one unlocked TV program and all other are locked, but at least I retrieve their names. But as soon as I insert the CI card than TV card stops working. Unlocked TV program doesn’t work anymore and if I try to scan with CI card inserted than no channels were found. If I try to put the same CI card to one other digital TV, that TV is working without any problems. With TBS MCE CI tool, I’m able to read the data and there are no errors reported anywhere. It seems to me that there is some kind of incompatibility between CI card and TV tuner.

Is there any way to perform further debugging or what could be wrong and how can I fix that.

Thx,
A

I'm experiencing a similar problem with the Linux drivers (TBS6680 though).
