TBS5881: channels are not being descrambled

Postby RomanSin » Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:16 pm

I am connected to Onlime (Rostelecom) DVB-C provider in Moscow and use its CI (Conax) modules in TVs. However, TBS5881 at my PC (Windows 10 Creators Update) does not descramble any channels when CI module is inserted though CAM menu is available from ProgDVB. I suppose there is a mistake in drivers (by the way, I have installed them from the Web site). What should I do?

Hi

Please have a try with our latest OEM-DVBDream:
https://www.tbsiptv.com/download/common ... _v2921.zip
if it is ok you can copy the DVBDream folder tbsciapi.dll to progdvb then you can use with progdvb

Thanks

Kind Regards

I have tried the proposed version of OEM-DVBDream, no difference. As to ProgDVB, I installed it just to check whether inserting CI module is detected by TBS5881. My everyday TV programme is DVBViewer but it doesn't show CAM menu in this case as well as OEM-DVBDream.

At first, the provider declares compatibility of its modules with both CI and CI+ interfaces at corporate Web site (see in Russian).

At second, the module works fine in my old TechniSat CableStar Combo HD CI (issued in 2009) which has not CI+ support at all.

Hello RomanSin!

Which versions of TBSCIAPI.DLL did you try?
You find it after right-click to DLL, select properties and look at tab "Details".

Hello RomanSin!

I had problems using DLL V1.0.1.9 too.

Please download latest DLL on https://www.tbsiptv.com/download/common ... .0.2.0.zip and test it.
DLL V1.0.2.0 works with CI at my cable provider.

No result after replacing C:\Program Files (x86)\dvbdream\TbsCIapi.dll

By the way, why does DVB Dream require administrator privileges for each running?
