I think I have just hit the very same issue with a TBS 6285 in an Asus H170M-E D3.

Following several emails to ASUS support they added the feature to the H170 BIOS to allow you to specify Gen1 PCI-E speed. So ASUS have to come to the rescue to fix a problem in another manufacturer's product.

I wouldn't say its a TBS problem at all. Motherboard manufacturers are supporting PCIe 1.0 is not a TBS issue, its a motherboard manufacturer issue. TBS has basically given up on motherboard manufacturers and developed their own PCIe bridge to resolve an issue not with them at all. I think that pretty incredible of TBS and far far beyond what I would have expected of them. Pretty incredible imo. If you are unhappy with TBS, I cant possibly think of why you would be, then goto another manufacturer of DVB devices. You wont find service like this anywhere else though I'll warn you.

Some more info:

Cards are working without any problems, so no errors in reception at all, you can disable this message if you put pci=noaer to your kernel boot line, noaer means no advanced error reporting.

I have four QUAD cards without any problems, one month uptime.

I tried also to force PCI GEN1 instead of Auto detect to all PCIE slots with no success.
