It is not so straight forward.
virtualbox works, but does not perform very well.

setup is easy. passthrough the USB host device ( the TBS card ).
check with lsusb ( this can be done without reboot )

Initially, the firmware did not load, hence no device.

Turns out the system needs to load the module, not you on the command line.

I fixed it by creating this file :
/etc/modules-load.d/tbs.conf
in it, there is only the name of the module plus parameters if you like
( find out which are available by modinfo <modulename> )

that fixed the problem.

works fine, also the CI interface works properly.

It works fine for SD, but not for HD (=no hardware acceleration for the virtual video card)

The virtual video card seems to be the problem. X11/VNC works fine when using the same software (kaffeine) on the
host system itself, without the virtual video card, only the framebuffer of xvnc server.
