It's important to keep your driver and software updated.

TBS6281SE on Debian 9 (Kernel 4.17)...

Postby rufus » Sun Sep 23, 2018 11:20 pm

Hi,

I have a TBS6281SE card. I'm trying to install it on a Linux that using 4.17 kernel (Debian 9 based).
I did followed all instructions of Guide regarding commands, driver, firmware and so on...
The card was installed successfully using last driver (TBS Open Source Linux Driver Offline Package v180822). Via "dmesg | grep frontend", it's possible identify the adapters.
I'm using TVHeadend app to manage the channels, streaming, etc.

The problem is:
When I try to scan DVB-C services, I got none. Enabling the debug function, I got some errors like: "mpegts: 573MHz in NETBR - scan no data, failed" and "'scan' unsubscribing".
I tried this same solution with old driver (v170330) and the new one (v180822). Same results: no success!
On older kernels like 4.9, works like a charm.
Please, could you help me?

Thanks in advanced!
Cheers,
Ricardo

Hi.I have the same tuner card ,and in my case works fine instaling drivers and now i use with tvheadend on ubuntu.
The tech guy told me it is the same procedure for debian as in ubuntu,so,my gues is,some thing went wrong when you compile or install drivers.

Thanks for your answer!
I sent an e-mail to TBS support... Till now, no responses.
I'll try again that official procedure!

Cheers!

Hi,
Did you try change a streaming software to test? If adapter can be loaded correctly, it should be ok. Please try install a
DVBlast, like DVBlast 3.1 and try. Scaning commad:
$ dvblast -f 474000000 -s 6900000 -5 DVBC_ANNEX_A -a 0
-f: frequnecy; -s: symbol rate; -a: adater number -5: mode select(DVBC_ANNEX_A for dvbc mode).

Thanks

Hi daowei,
I already did scan with: dvdblast, w_scan and w_scan2.
No success, unfortunately.
But I'll try again with your tips...

Thank you so much!
