Hello everbody,

Is this Linux Driver also for TBS QBOX 5980?. Now I used the 'TBS5980 Linux Driver V121021' from the download site. I try to compile the latest Version 'V121119' and the previous version 'Linux driver V121105' and i always get an error [MAKE 2]. The version 'V121021' work's but i have some troubles. Is there a problem with the MakeFile? Can i use the latest driver for Qbox5980?

I used Ubuntu Linux 12.04.1 (Console Version) with VDR 1.7.x and XBMC.

best regards
Roland

Hello.

I have TBS-6220 PCIe card, debian gnu/linux system with 3.2.0 kernel and linux drivers V121119.
In Novosibirsk (Russia) i receive DVB-T2 tv. Drivers works perfectly, except one thing: i have only 4 tv channels from 8. I heard, this may be because drivers not support MultiPLP.

Please, tell me, is MultiPLP support in linux drivers? If not, is it planned (and when) to include MultiPLP support in Linux drivers?

Thanks, and sorry for my english.

Hello,
I see this release contains updates for the TBS6992 specifically.
However, there is no build README for the TBS6992.
Which README should I use for the TBS6992 ?

(My OS = ArchLinux 3.6.10)

Thanks.

Hi jumbleoak.

Hello orekhovav, Hello All,

Hopping that your are still linked to this forum I would like to know your status regarding MultiPLP in Linux.

I'm interested about this because I plan to go (or send server) in Tomsk in few weeks /months. I want to use there a TBS device under Linux.
DVB-T2 is used now across Russia and MultiPLP is used already in many towns. So soon I expect needing MultiPLP support for Tomsk too.

I've written to TBS support to know the plan to add support for MultiPLP.
They answered me that the MultiPLP support is already present in Windows system (like 'smile' answered) and they will do the effort to add it in Linux when the windows support will be validated:
euro_support@tbsdtv.com Wrote: [...] no matter of anything else it's best to just get 5880, test in Windows with the live signal and if it works then we will add the same support in the Linux drivers.
(they already validated implementation but from labs test only)

I was interested for 5880 but I bet the situation is same for 6220.

Since I'm not in Russia I can't validate now myself the Windows Implementation, this is why I was wondering if you could do the check with window? do you think it is something possible?

If somebody else from Russia is interested to do the test too this would be great (notice that Moscow DVB-T2 don't use yet MultiPLP)

Best regards,
