new libc.so.6

after installing firmware 2.0.2 (upgraded from 1.2) I can no more use opkg or any other packages published in this forum. It looks like in some version between 1.2 and 2.0.2 libc.so.0 was replaced with libc.so.6 (update of build system?). And since all precompiled packages here are linked against libc.so.0 they don't work anymore. At least for me. But I'm surprised that nobody else mentioned that yet. Am I missing something? How do you do it, guys? You can install opkg, mc, etc. on moi with 2.0.2 system and it runs properly? Or you all silently go through the lenghty process of building needed packages yourself using buildroot?
