Which TBS product would you use for mixing two HDMI inputs?

Which TBS product would you use for mixing two HDMI inputs?

Postby poddingue » Thu Oct 31, 2019 5:20 am

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting the HDMI output of two devices, and displaying one on top of the other with transparency.
For example, in a conference room, I would like to get the HDMI output of the speaker's laptop and the HDMI output of another device (that would only display visual feedback, like flying thumbs).
Most of the time, I would display on the output of the TBS device (that would be plugged into a overhead projector) only the laptop HDMI output, and sometimes, I would like to add to the top of it the HDMI output of the feedback device.
Is there any of TBS device that could do it?
I think the TBS2605 is capable of doing that, but it would mean another firmware, for sure...

Any idea, comment?

Thanks.

Hi poddingue,
I think TBS2605 "video mix:picture in picture" should be stuitable for you, i'll show you in a picture.

And the time which switch from "2 HDMI source mix and display in Picture in picture type" to "only one source input" is very short. If i didn't get your point, please correct me.

Thanks

Thanks. The problem with PiP is that the second picture is small. What I'd like to do is having the second picture as big as the first one, but with transparency.
Here is an example of a second HDMI source that I would like to add on top of the other:

It looks like what I'm looking for is keying, compositing, mixing, or alpha blending.

Hi poddingue,
Sorry for delay.
Just checked the Youtube video, the specification of the "Keyer", and talked with my team. It's a little difficult to make is come ture in Encoder currently. It's needed another specified software and hardware for this i think.

Thanks
