Hi warumnix.
What happened with linux-tbs-sources/v4l/tbs* scripts?
I compiled today the new version but only TBS6920 was recognized.
More late I'll put more details.

Thanks in advance

Well, I install tbs driver (not source) and now TBS6925 is reconogzed, but TBS6982 not.
The one reference about TBS6982 in dmesg is
Code: Select All Code
tbs6928fe: module license 'TurboSight Proprietary: www.tbsdtv.com' taints kernel.
Disabling lock debugging due to kernel taint

Now it's all ok. Why? I really don't know....
After reboot tbs6928 was not found, but after shootdown and restart and no more problems.

Thanks for all

so http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/document ... 121021.zip contain only open-source drivers (+firmwares).
http://www.tbsdtv.com/download/document ... 121021.zip contain all drivers (including binary modules and firmwares).

i have one question - why 5925 driver with some binary module ?:) look like this module only control LNB power switching and this 100% similar to another TBS USB with 100% open-source drivers (5910, 5920, 5928, 5980) ? Some peoples want use TBS USB devices with Linux-based STB (MIPS, SH4) and need 100% open-source drivers for porting (most users want 5925 for 16/32APSK receiving)

Its buggering me up as well, I cant add my spectrum scan code because if I add anything to the dvb_fronend_ops struct it now mismatch's with the precompiled .o and I get seg faults. and because dvb_frontend_ops struct is common to multiple dvb devices I cant have my prof 7500 (with sprectrum scan) and the TBS6925 (without spectrum scan) its an all or nothing situation, I either use the Prof or the TBS not both.

what chip are you using for the voltage controller ? the lattice PLD ? I really dont see why you could opensrc the driver that controls that.

There is alot of potential in this card thats being held back by a simple little file.

UDL
TBS6925/5980, Prof 7301/7500/8000, Genpix Skywalker-1, Skystar 2 Express HD
Hauppauge 950Q, Kworld 330U/435v3/445v3
Dreambox 800

I use Linux and support open source projects.
