MOI & CAM & oscam

Postby eesdil » Tue May 07, 2013 3:21 pm

Hi,

I would like to set up my MOI to watch encrypted channels (skylink) on it. But so far unsuccessfully. As I understood the only way (conviniently switching channels) is to have oscam and tvheadend configured.
And here is where I got stuck. I downloaded the oscam here from the forum and tried to configured it, but not really working.
I dont know how to set the CAM in the oscam server file... Actually I dont know how it is working at all, but hopefully the rest configuration is ok.

Does anyone know how to do this?

thanks a lot

hmm, looks like i was able to make oscam started on moi, but now I cannot make tvheadend to connect to it. However From the web browser I can access oscam and looks working.
tvheadend is configured to the address like:
192.168.1.188:8888
but it is saying connection attempt is failed...
any idea?

thanks a lot

Still not able to connect, however something I dont understand. I cannot ping or access (ping nor traceroute) from MOI the localhost (127.0.0.1) neither the network address(192.168.1.188). Is it a kind of MOI feature? Maybe thats why TVHeadend cannot connect either... Anyway, please if somebody has any idea what can be wrong he/she is more than welcome.

thanks

Look at ifconfig, will see why. Missing Loopback setting for 'localhost'. You can try setup of eth0 with other params. I haven't time yet, but I'll looking at that.
Try setup connection between TVheadend and oscam with 192.168.1.188 or 0.0.0.0.

Tvheadends port is 9981, not 8888

hi,
tvheadend I can access on the web. But in tvheadend I cannot access the oscam.
network set up should be fine. Now put to dhcp (fixed the address in the router). Host file looks fine I think also.
Was trying to reach oscam on localhost , 192.168.1.188, even on 0.0.0.0 (however this is not really valid ip address), but the same message:
May 07 18:11:10 cwc: Attemping to connect to 127.0.0.1:8888
May 07 18:11:20 cwc: Connection attempt to 127.0.0.1:8888 failed: Connection attempt timed out
May 07 18:11:20 cwc: 127.0.0.1:8888: Automatic connection attempt in in 3 seconds

May 07 14:41:18 cwc: Attemping to connect to 192.168.1.188:8888
May 07 14:41:28 cwc: Connection attempt to 192.168.1.188:8888 failed: Connection attempt timed out
May 07 14:41:28 cwc: 192.168.1.188:8888: Automatic connection attempt in in 3 seconds

the oscam is set up to 8888, if I connect from my pc I can access it.
Strange that I cannot ping myself on moi, I would expect that I could... ok, I wouldnt care if i cannot, but probably it is in connection with issue with oscam connection.

ifconig:

From Your log:
2013/05/08 03:09:38 114DD0 c plain dvbapi-client granted (moi, au=on (1 reader))
2013/05/08 03:09:38 114DD0 c Detected /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0 Api: 0

Please, delete unwanted oscam configs values (or simple xxxxxx...) and send oscam.user, oscam.server and oscam.conf here.
That looks, You have enabled dvbapi as client - need to be disabled, when using TVheadend as client....

Is there anybody who knows how to setup moi to watch encrypted channels? In the advertisement it is quite easy... You are just plugging your paid card in and it works... Looks like it is not that easy as after 2 weeks it is still not working. Including speaking with TBS support.
Is it really not possible to configure it or just me who is not able to make it working?

Anyway I would really appreciate if somebody had any good idea how to set it up.

Thanks
