Any plans for versions with 4+ tuners?

Postby moontanx » Sat Jul 06, 2013 3:26 am

I would love to be able to replace my pc and multiple tv tuners with something like the moi but i am just wondering if there are plans to have versions with 4+ dvb-s2 tuners? Also, is it possible to a connect a dvb-t usb tuner to it?

honestly two tuners is in many cases too much bandwidth for 100baset. four tuners isnt of any use unless they are low bitrate. Your better off with two MOI's

4 tuners with gb lan is not problem. the main problem is hardware spec.

Steven i'll recomend arm quadcore cpu from Amlogic M8 mostly because amlogic sources are public with 2 gb DDR3 and pretty please give us 8gb flash and 4 tunners.(1 cable and 3 sat)

But also for the name of the GOD dear TBS company give us REAL KERNEL DRIVERS.
I have big troubles to compile myself Openelec ... with TBS cards drivers = pain in the ass.

Thank you

hey,

i think quad Tuner with multiple usb dvb cards support ( im might want only 1 or 2 channels from each transponder, so more tuners in one box the better), CI+ common interface support (MOST companies going with CI+ now) and a 1gb base network card.

PERFECT :-)

whats the chances guys?

Thanks for your advice. : )

There some news leaks about next generation MOI which contain two hardware designs:

One design we use Marvel CPU(88F6282) with 4 tuners ,pure streaming box without video output ,Hardware descrambler, support eight channels descrambler simultaneously. This version probable release in October. :)

The second design we use freescale i.MX6Q CPU with 4 tuners which have HDMI out put,and other feathers like CI interface ,Hardware descrambler, etc.. up to customer's demand.we have not decide yet, welcome good ideal . : )

About both designs have SATA ,Gigabit Lan port ,WIFI.

Kind Regards

sounds great

When you say 4 tuners, will there be an option with 4 dvb-s2 tuners?

4 modular tuners would be awesome. Having an ATSC tuner would make it a heck of a box in north America
