For playback the Matrix with OpenElec seems to do its job almost perfectly (I see the occasional glitch/stutter during playback). But unfortunately (for me) it seems that the dvbhdhomerun plugin isn't working correctly.

Manually running userhdhomerun gives the following error, even after I did the "modprobe dvb_hdhomerun" command : http://pastebin.com/MBCCpuhJ

That's probably because we are using so old kernel. Will google it a little if there are any solutions.

Do you see anything useful at the end of dmesg?

Unfortunately, not. I put the last dmesg information in the pastebin link I posted earlier.

Hi,

I installed Openelec an it works well. But i have a problem with USB-SAT-Box TBS-5990. Dmesg shows me that a device is connected to USB-Port and lsusb shows the device also. But no driver or firmware is loaded. In /lib/firmware/ there are no firmware-files from tbs.
Do i have to install the drivers and firmware from anywhere?

Thanks,
Albert

AlbertKy, there is no TBS DVB drivers included because there are no sources and no binaries for me to include.

Few days I'm working on newer kernel 3.14.14 which maybe have better support for this with opensource drivers.

Thanks vpeter for your reply.

At my research i have read in a forum, that one is using openelec with this usb-dvb-t-box. But i can't remember where i had read this. With the receiver came a CD with Linux-drivers and Firmwarefiles. Do i have a chance to compile the drivers local? Openelec seems to be a very slim Debian?

Thanks,
Albert.

Not sure if anyone runs this tuner with openelec. You can't compile much because their is not anything. If it would I would do that already. With this latest kernel I will see if opensource tbs drivers compile. If not...

Regarding openelc: it is build from scratch with one purpose only - running xbmc.
