Can'to flash MatrixTV 1.0.1.0 over Ubuntu 12.04

Hi.

I was trying different OS provided by TBS so I flash Ubuntu 12.04.

But now, I can't flash MatrixTV 1.0.1.0 over Ubuntu

I'm using USB cable method, everything is OK but when I reboot I'm always on Ubuntu

And I can't flash OpenELEC :

* download OpenELEC-TBS.arm-devel-20140807170606-r18774-g2c40356
* execute MfgTool2.exe
* get this error :

For OpenELEC don't run MfgTool2.exe! Run correct .bat file (MfgTool2-reinstall_vX.bat). You get that hint from mfgtool.log file also (use-batch-file).

And how can I remove Ubuntu ? Because even after flashing MatrixTV 1.0.1.0 over Ubuntu when I power on the case, it's always Ubuntu

Flashing something overwrites what's already in eMMC. Seems you didn't flash correctly.

I will make some screenshot but :
- the box was running this MatrixTV release :

I thought it was the latest release (1.0.1.0) because I have flash it several times but a french user who has also flash V1.0.1.0 get this compiled date :

xbmc 13.2-beta1 (Compiled: Aug 30 2014)

But, I have successfully flash Android over MatrixTV then Ubuntu over Android. So maybe that MatrixTV-V1.0.1.0.zip is not OK. I will redownload it from sourceforge.

When using MfgTool2 you will see if flashing was done correctly. Also you can checl log file.

Ubuntu was replace by OpenELEC.

Will give a try to MatrixTV 1.0.1.0 if I've got time

Just to give another try with MatrixTV 1.0.1.0, I have reflash it over OpenELEC Gotham :









For me, this flash is OK. Here is mfgtools.log : http://pastebin.com/ttQb39Ci

But when booting the box, I have this message and the boot stop :



I have redownload and reflash MatrixTV 1.0.1.0 from sourceforge with no effect.

So I have flash 1.0.0.9 but the flash took longer and log is different :

And MatricTV 1.0.0.9 boot successfully :S

I think you suffer from this issue

There is an error in this image - only updates kernel without root filesystem. Open file cfg.ini and change

Code: Select All Code

name = SabreSD-eMMC-kernel

to

Code: Select All Code

name = SabreSD-eMMC

Then install again.

Seems someone from TBS didn't read my post and fix the image. Or there are just 3 matrixtv users out there
