MatrixTV is what it is. What I did is replaced few files. I assume same should be done for autoupdate.

Update: Just checked - seems autoupdate doesn't overwrite u-boot in eMMC. So it should be fine. But confirmation would be great to have.

@ vpeter,
can you make a helix build with the old dvb-drivers like in the build from 14. September , please ?
All the newer builds don't start when i connect my DVBSKY S960 USB Tuner, with the gotham-build from 14.09. it works fine, but i like to try helix also.
Thanks in advance and thanks for your great work !!!!

OpenELEC-iMX6.arm-devel-20141028114928-r19478-g4b97acf.tar: https://drive.bitcasa.com/send/aOKzJ66q ... PcdQB1pLW1

This is very development build because of xbcm to kodi rebranding. All the paths now points to /storage/.kodi/.... Old .xbmc folder is just symbolic link and should work for some time. Make a backup just in case.

In the future my builds will include original drivers from kernel and ljalves media_build in one image. Just like I have in a good old days. Selection of the type will be made by a one config file or even maybe some kodi settings addon.

Hoping also to support PCie tuners but currently don't have any hw to develop and test. So this part is on hold indefinitely :(

Great job !!

And now with dual boot eMMC / SD card, it's so easy to test your OpenELEC releases ;)

I edited the create_sdcard script in the downloaded openelec....tar to create a bootable OpenELEC SDCard in a few seconds. Just replace the create_sdcard file in your downloaded folder with this one, rename it to create_sdcard
create_sdcard.zip
(9.81 KiB) Downloaded 409 times

and execute : sudo create_sdcard /dev/sdx
replace sdx with your sdcard, be careful with your choice, else you could erase your harddisk.
Works without problems for me.

For me the unofficial repository works, highlight the Unofficial OpenELEC (Cu.....) entry under Addons, more addons and press c on your keyboard, then force Update, wait a while or reboot and it is working.
But there are two other issues, the blue LED is blinking all time and shutdown doesn't work. Openelec freezes with picture on screen but does not turn off the box.
However , in the serial console i can see it shuts down and halts the system but i have to press the power button on the box itself to turn it off.

Reached target Shutdown.
[ 3194.002284] reboot: System halted

This I must check. On Gotham I add one patch for this to work but on Helix it should work without. Maybe there was some changes. Will let you know.

Update: Yes, this means it was shutdown. Don't know why there is still image on screen. Maybe fixed in next releases.
