But it happens on only this 2 systems? I have matrix v1.2 and v2.3 and I see no problem. So will be hard to fix.

hello vpeter
I used imx6q-tbs2910.dtb from an old version. I put it on the SD with "Env.txt" "kernel" and "system" file.
I boot from SD card and openelec works OK without problem (no freezing) HDMI output OK it is OpenELEC 5.0.8
I try v6.0.0, 6.0.1 and it works too, but I do not have in the audio output setting the choise for HDMI, only analog and SPDIF. Do you know where is a problem or how to solve it?
Thank you

So it is device tree difference? Now that the problem is narrowed down I can compare this two and try to fix.

But currently I'm taking some time off from openelec and not sure for how long. Can be few days only or maybe weeks. Will see when I'm back in better mood.

If an infinite loop occurs when the hwclock commnad will be executed, the reason is as follows.

The board version 1.3 that I have, the fuse has not been initialized.
Security configuration in addition to the MAC address was also uninitialized state.
To use internal RTC(snvs_rtc), SEC_CONFIG[0] bit must be set to 1.

Perhaps the Field of SPEED_GRADING[5:4] also not have been set.
Therefore /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_max_freq is 792000.

Hello vpeter
I have mini PCIe DVB card TBS7220 (T2,T,C) on my Matrix ARM mini pc. Is it possible to use this card with OpenELEC? How to load the driver?
Thank you

For those having issues with HDMI audio not working with the dtb file attached here (File from maspeter a few posts up). It seems that openelec is late in detecting the audio hdmi device when kodi has started. But if you kill kodi and restart the session, the device is now available in the settings of kodi under audio output. So install openelec 6.0 as per vpeter's zip file. But before installing it to your TBS2910 V1.3, replace the file \OpenELEC-imx6.arm-6.0.0-matrix\OpenELEC-imx6.arm-6.0.0-matrix\3rdparty\bootloader\imx6q-tbs2910.dtb with the attached one in this post. Then burn it to your TBS2910

Next once the unit is booted. Login to the TBS using ssh and go to the directory /storage/.config. Then create a file called autostart.sh and add the folling contents.

(
/bin/sleep 10
kill -9 $(ps -ef | grep -i 'kodi.sh\}' | awk '{print $1}')
)&

This should restart kodi 10 seconds after the system has start. But by then the HDMI device has been properly detected and KODI will find it and set the HDMI as the default. Then the HDMI audio should be find.

vpeter, next release modify kodi.sh to allow 10 second delay (or about) to allow all the devices to be detected by openelec before starting KODI. Then we do not need to have autostart.sh anymore.

Enjoy
