MOI S2 doesn't work after factory reset

First of all, I apologise in advance if something like this is covered already somewhere. If it is, I couldn't find it, so please point me to anything I need to read.

I have already sent an email to support about this, but perhaps this forum is a better starting point.

I have a TBS MOI S2 IPTV box(Model No: TBS 2900)

It was working mostly fine, but I attempted to do a factory reset, as per instructions here:

After the reset it should come back to IP 192.168.1.188, but this doesn't seem to be the case.
I have changed the IP of my NIC to 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 and connected it to the device, but it's still unreacheable.
I have validated that the network interface becomes activated every time I plug in the device to the network
The blue power LED is activated when it's plugged in, so the device seems to get power normally.
I have even tried sniffing the port I have connected the MOI to, and no ethernet traffic seems to come out of it.

Any suggestion on how to troubleshoot this will be appreciated.

do you know the version of the moi's system when it work fine ?

in the latest version 1.0.0.2 ,the reset function is the same with reboot device.

i can help you to upgrade the system if you has serial cable .
