TBS5520 Linux Driver v170206 no DVB-T/T2 delivery system?

Postby Tnix » Sat Feb 11, 2017 7:04 am

Hi all,
is there any way to change the delivery system from DVB-S/S2 to DVB-T/T2 in TBS5520 with v170206 drivers? Or only is supported DVB-S/S2 in these drivers?

Use open-source driver.

Open-source drivers are not working well for me. It compiles and works apparently fine but when I scan for DVB-T channels it doesn't find any channel (only it finds channels in some rarely times and in some mux not in all well-known area muxes). I tried with dvbv5-scan and w_scan utilities, and another apps like me-tv and Kaffeine. For example in Kaffeine when it is scanning for DVB-T channels the signal level peaks quickly to 87% but SNR doesn't move. Also I increased the tuner timeout in Kaffeine to 5000 ms. It's likely the driver, the firmware, ... whatever, has a very short timeout to wait SNR when it find a mux with signal.

This behaviour doesn't occur with DVB-S tunning in Linux. In Windows both modes are working fine and the signal levels are about 88% for DVB-T so it isn't a signal strength problem.

Is there a setting in source files or module params or likely to increase such timeout?

I hope to give you some clues to try to resolve my problem.

Thanks for all.
