TBS6991 On Ubuntu 18.04.
I think my tbs6991 has come to the end of its journey. Fantastic card, has served me well.
Was trying to compile the last drivers available (170330) and ran into this series of errors and warnings which resulted in the build process being stopped:

On your forum pages I have seen this being reported, and the comment was around the new kernel 4.15 being used..
Admittedly that was against a different card TBS6285 the issue was posted on Sun Apr 15, 2018 4:45 am.
I need to move to 18.04 to stay current, and I need diseqc rotor and CI CAM.
Any body got any other suggestion, then to replace the card?
And what would its best and logical replacement be?

Steven thanks, What a shame.

Which replacement card could then take the TBS6991 place. As I said I use a rotor and a CAM, so it needs to behave equal to or better than the TBS6991?
Thanks

Steven,

Thanks. Had a look at that card. does not mention diseqc. Is it capable of driving a dish rotor? Similar to tbs 6991.
Read the review from Satelescu on the card, impressive.
The question I have is that it mentions there seems to be a "ChangeModeTool utility".
Looking in the download section that seems to be a windows oriented piece of SW, how is this done under linux?
Thanks for assisting in clearing these last questions.

Hi

Diseqc is no problem do not need worry about this .
For linux more professional, do not need tools as the software already added support more detail information
please have a look at this guide :
http://www.tbsiptv.com/download/tbs6590 ... _guide.pdf
it will tell you how to use with different mode in linux

any more question please feel free to ask us .

Kind Regards
