TBS6281 install issue

TBS6281 install issue

Postby mollcons » Tue Jul 17, 2018 12:44 am

After apparently successfully installing the drivers, when I try to perform the standard tests, one in particular will not go further than the initial display:
[root@saruman root]# lsdvb

lsdvb: Simple utility to list PCI/PCIe DVB devices
Version: 0.0.4
Copyright (C) Manu Abraham

SAA716x Budget (1131:7160 6281:1) on PCI Domain:0 Bus:2 Device:0 Function:0
DEVICE:0 ADAPTER:0

where the command freezes (until I Ctrl-C the display).

How do I overcome this?

Hello,
Did you mean you have installed driver successfully, but no adapter?
if you want to check tuner card is detectd or not, please try this command:
$ lspci -vvv | grep6281
If you want to check if driver is ready or not, please try this:
# ls /dev/dvb
or
# dmesg | grep frontend
Or maybe it's easier for you to install tuner card to a windows system and test.
Thanks

Hi,
From your information, the driver should be ready now. Please install a streaming software to test, i recommend you DVBlast.
Which signal do you have now? DVBT/T2 or DVBC?
For DVBT/T2, you can try this:
$ dvblast -f 474000000 -b 8 -a 0 -5 DVBT
$ dvblast -f 650000000 -b 8 -a 1 -5 DVBT2

For DVBC, please try:
$ dvblast -f 712000000 -s 6900000 -5 DVBC_ANNEX_A -a 0

Thanks
