BBframe headers and GSE headers

Postby Midwestmac » Tue Sep 30, 2014 11:46 am

Hello I've been recording some GS continuos ACM/VCM signals with the latest TBS recorder. Using TBS 6925 with WIn xp.
I think I have been getting some good recordings with a few errors at the very end of my recordings, but can never get a recording larger than 400mb with out errors.
I was wondering if anyone else is having better success in Windows or Linux?
Also would it make a difference to have a Solid state drive to do recordings?

Would like to here some feedback thanks

A friend wrote small program to check recording for errors, Thought I'd share.
Using TBSrecorder Here is beginning of my recording the first BBF is @ line141. You can see the Matype is 4200

BBF @ 141 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2938 SYNC=$CD SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$58
BBF @ 1470 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2D70 SYNC=$CE SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$3F
BBF @ 2934 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2D70 SYNC=$CF SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$BC
BBF @ 4398 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2D70 SYNC=$D0 SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$60
BBF @ 5862 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2938 SYNC=$D1 SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$D4
BBF @ 7191 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2930 SYNC=$D2 SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$D3
BBF @ 8519 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2D70 SYNC=$D3 SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$30
BBF @ 9983 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2D70 SYNC=$D4 SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$13
BBF @ 11447 MATYPE=$4200 [GS-C MIS ACM ISSYI=0 GLT=0 RO=2 ISI=$00] UPL=$0000 DFL=$2D70 SYNC=$D5 SYNCD=$0000 CRC1=$90

Then ::Towards the end of my recording I lose SYNC and so the MATYPE 4200 do not all line up were they should

Here is a pic with hex editor.
I highlighted in blue the beginning of 10 byte bbheader
in red is the 7 byte GSE header which has a 6 byte label
in orange is the encapsulated Ts packets 470800 which all line up at 188 bytes.

This was a good recording if I could just get a longer recording though. I think I have good signal here.
