The 6205 card (DVB-T) is only working on the first (cold) boot of the server. If the server is then rebooted in Linux, the card is then not detected (it does not show in lspci). If we then pysically pull the power cable out and reconnect, the card is then detected on booting and works (until the next time the server is rebooted).
We have also tried experimenting with all the PCI-E gen speed options in the BIOS with no positive effect.
The new 6905 card (DVB-S) is detected fine in the same server (in place of the DVB-T card) and does not have the same problem - it always detects ok after rebooting.
We have been successfully using both the older 6285 and 6985 cards on the same server without issue (the BIOS is set to GEN-1 PCI-E speed). We use about 40-50 cards a year so I need to figure out a solution to this on the server hardware!
