As an update to the above, I have reinstalled the OS and reinstalled the card again, but sadly now I cannot reproduce the situation because the computer doesn't load the card properly yet.

So this topic is a dead end. Remove it?

Hi Steven! The signal from the LNB should be all right. It was installed a while ago using a direction-finder device so I'm confident that it receives a signal and sends it down the wire.
