Re: What is the best computer spec to record 8 channel at on

In fact, if it is just for data recording, the computer configuration required is actually very low. A digital TV signal is essentially like a continuously transmitted data file, and all your computer needs to do is store the parsed symbols (binary data) into its hard drives. Imagine how powerful a ...

Re: China launches first 8K UHD satellite channel on ChinaSa

This will exceed allowed transfer rate probably on all USB2 devices. Time to migrate to USB3 ;) Your statement is absolutely correct. When TBS5520SE (USB card) is used to receive the channel, the tuner shows that the signal reception is OK, but BDA receiving data rate is less than 100 Mbps (while t...

TBS6904SE packet loss issue identified (Windows)

While using TBS6904SE on Windows for satellite signal reception, severe packet loss may occur when using multiple tuners simultaneously. However this does not occur when only a single tuner is started. If this also happens to you, disable Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) in BIOS and then you ar...

Re: 6205 and linux driver installation

As a user who is not familiar with C/C++ and compilation, I do not understand why TBS does not launch a standalone driver package for its own product, but had to include linux-media stack devices. But what's more important to me is getting my TBS devices to function. It is worth noting that TBS prod...

Re: TBS 6205 suddenly stoped to work

Very much similar to what happened to me. It couldn't even recognized by BIOS. IC is broken. Just ask the friendly TBS staff for a replacement. Card has warranties.

Re: *buntu TBS6205 DKMS driver instructions

This is a brilliant idea and I am very much in favor of it.

But since I am not familiar with Linux development, I personally still prefer to use the TBS official offline driver packages for fixed-step installations.

TBS6209SE versus Cable Modem

https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/38/c0/tyZF10du_t.jpg I do wonder why does the operation of DOCSIS CM causes severe signal interference to TBS6209SE. Our cable system uses the DOCSIS 3.0 protocol for Internet access, which will lock into 8 downlink (DL) frequencies and 2 uplink (UL) frequencies. Under no...

TBS6209SE packet loss issue identified (DVB-C)

I was excited about to use TBS6209SE to watch some cable. TBS6205SE/TBS6209SE takes Sony "Dafa"'s CXD6802GL integrated tuning/demod chip which will theoretically deliver better results than the previous generation TBS cards. However it suffered from a strange packet loss issue that does no...

Re: TBS6209 Vs. TBS6209SE

Sony Dafa is Good!

(It's a slang, see https://technode.com/2015/10/09/chinese ... aboo-words)

TBS6209SE uses 8 × "SONY CXD6802GL" integrated tuning/demod chips, which can theoretically achieve better results.
