High continuity errors using TVheadend?

High continuity errors using TVheadend?

Postby JohnnySSH » Fri May 01, 2015 3:48 am

Hi,

I'm having a really strange issue.... I have the 6281 card and it's hooked up to my roof based antenna. The quality is perfect for about a day, after that TVheadend reports high "Continuity Errors".

The system restores itself after a reboot but it's really odd... could this be driver related?

I'm using the latest drivers obtained only a few days ago. TVheadend is latest Git release and system is Arch Linux with kernel:

3.19.3-3 64bit

I can't seem to see anything in Dmesg at all either. The cable is fine as when used with the TV directly there is never any issue...

If someone could help me debug I'd be grateful!

Thanks.

Ok I am starting to see "Continuity Errors" again... kernel has reported this:

Disabling IRQ #16

Having a look at what actually is using IRQ #16 I find this:

Code: Select All Code
 16:     206725       3597       3021       3136  IR-IO-APIC  16-fasteoi   ehci_hcd:usb1, SAA716x Core, SAA716x Core

There was also Firewire IEEE1394 attached as well, I have since disabled it via jumper pin on M/B.

Just to quickly mention that the motherboard is a SuperMicro C7Z87. Currently watching and waiting to see what happens...
