No signal after resume from standby

Re: No signal after resume from standby

Hi,

I´m experiencing exactly the same issue. No signal after waking up from stand by, but no issues after restarting the PC.

MB: Asrock A350M1, video on board
HDD: Crucial M4 64 (boot and system) and Samsung 80GB
RAM: OCZ 4GB
OS: Win 7 64bit

Downloaded newest BIOS, MB and TBS drivers.
Tried with Windows Media Center and MediaPortal, both came up with this problem.

There is only one PCIE slot where the TBS6981 is plugged in.
I tried all the combinations, even switched off the second drive, nothing helps.

Please advise, as I´m really disappointed of all this.

Thanks
petya

Tested even with DVBDream, Mediaportal, etc. its always the same thing.
No signal after standby.

I´ve put the card in three different PCs: no signal after standby. Now the "funny" thing is that the card disappears from the windows device manager! So I have to reboot and install the card again.

Hi I have the same problem, I have 2 of the dvbs2 cards, the problem only occurred when I installed the second one, is it a driver problem, background scan problem or should I connect the additional power connectors. I also experience a no signal when trying to record HD although I can watch live TV OK. Any help will be great, btw latest drivers installwd wmc7 thanks Neil

i have plugged in the additional power and changed my power setting disabling the PCIe power saving; no change tuners still unavailable, unless i reboot the machine. so is it now the background scanning or a driver problem? thanks Neil

Thanks Steven

Question - What about other player, such as DVBDream? is it ok ?

i can confirm when i try live TV in media center i get the no tuner problem (from S3 start-up), i installed DVBDream scanned and was able to stream a live feed without a reboot (BBC HD 90% quality and signal on both tuners, both feeds), closed DVBDream program re-launched media center tried to play the same channel - no tuner problem again,

A bit more info if it helps whenever i check the tv source the signal is always 0% within the guide. i hope this can be a simple fix or workaround,

i have been using media center since XP through Vista, win 7 ever since release this is the only problem i have and has only been a problem since adding another card. Thanks Neil

Hi tigercook

Thank you very much for your update and share the solution, :)
It is like that blackgold edit the registry value in Media Center BackgroundScanner.
Let Window Media Center scan in the Background, this solution should work for us too.

quote from blackgold:
1) Download and unzip the backgroundscan registry key: backgroundscan.reg
backgroundscan.zip
backgroundscan
(419 Bytes) Downloaded 390 times

2) Uninstall the TBS drivers.
3) Double click on and apply the registry switch backgroundscan.reg.
4) Power off restart the PC.
5) Ensure Media Center is restarted and that a new set-up and re-tune are completed.

Thanks again tigercook and blackgold's solution. :)

Kind Regards
