TBS6992 with ArchLinux 3.6.10

Hello

I followed SergioDanielG's advice in http://www.tbsdtv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=87&t=8130#p27000
(thanks for that SergioDanielG)

In the README you say: I.6 after reboot check that the newly installed driver is loaded correctly:
# dmesg | grep frontend

Sadly this gives:

[ 5.264215] saa716x_core: disagrees about version of symbol dvb_frontend_detach
[ 5.264216] saa716x_core: Unknown symbol dvb_frontend_detach (err -22)
[ 5.264225] saa716x_core: disagrees about version of symbol dvb_unregister_frontend
[ 5.264226] saa716x_core: Unknown symbol dvb_unregister_frontend (err -22)
[ 5.264231] saa716x_core: disagrees about version of symbol dvb_register_frontend
[ 5.264232] saa716x_core: Unknown symbol dvb_register_frontend (err -22)

Unfortunately your board won't accept attached files, so here is the most relevcant part of dmesg:

I get this sometimes too, I just delete the entire media ko folder, then reinstall

ie on my system

cd src/tbs/tbs-drivers-v121119/linux-tbs-drivers
rm -R /lib/modules/3.2.27/kernel/drivers/media
sudo make install

I like to unload all my media drivers before installing, but up to you, my full script kinda goes like this

cd src/tbs/tbs-drivers-v121119/linux-tbs-drivers
make clean
./v4l/tbs-x86_64.sh
make -j4
sudo rmmod -s tbs6925ctrl
sudo rmmod -s saa716x_tbs-dvb
sudo rmmod -s saa716x_core
sudo rmmod -s stb6100
sudo rmmod -sf stv090x
sudo rmmod -s dvb_core
sudo rmmod -s rc_tbs_nec
sudo rmmod -s rc_core
sudo make install
sudo modprobe saa716x_tbs-dvb

now you'll have todo a lsmod and change for your device.

I'll give that a go. Thanks.

Edit: After doing what UDL suggested it all looks good. Thanks.
