you can take it as DVB-C device, and connect DVB-C signal and then scan the
DVB-C transponder do not need to input the DVB-C symbol rate.

you can check that you can lock the DVB-C transponder.

Kind Regards

steven

I'm not quite sure that will work, and even if so, it may not work in other 3rd-party software. Cos I'm getting the device detected as DVB-T/DVB-T2 device only in NextPVR, so I can't detect DVB-C signal using that device in the software.

Both the 1009 or 1010 combined drivers doesn't work for me.
Have tried TBS viewer, DVB Dream(retail version, not TBS version) and NextPVR.
All the softwares think that it is a DVB-T2/T device only.

Have tried to scan full freq or manual scan in DVB-T scanning screen didn't get any DVB-C channels, only can find DVB-T/T2 channels.

Does the drivers even work? I really wonder.

Software see it as DVB-T2/T device only.

KSNODE_BDA_RF_TUNER

KSNODE_BDA_COFDM_DEMODULATOR

Unknown Node Type

KSNODE_BDA_QAM_DEMODULATOR is missing from it so the software doesn't think this device provides any DVB-C tuning capability.

Hi grapefruit

it really is DVB-T/T2 BDA ,but we made a few alterations in the driver.let it can supput DVB-C! When you lock DVB-C signal, you only need to input the Frequency. The other parameters Correct input.

Thanks !!!

Hi smile,

But the problem is, it cannot find any DVB-C channels whether by full scanning in DVB-T scanning screen or manually input DVB-C freq which contains the DVB-C channels.

Even by connecting directly to DVB-C source, without combining DVB-T/T2 signal, it also fail to pick up any DVB-C channels too.

Only the old DVB-C drivers 1.0.0.4 works OK for DVB-C channels.

Ok I managed to get it working.

Nothing much that I did, just the installation of the 1.0.0.10 driver and reconfiguring the new device that came up.

The device was named DVB-T/T2, but in NextPVR, it was able to lock on to DVB-C signal and thus I'm able to tune and record those signals.

Thanks. Hope the rest of u have success too.

Ok, managed to get it working too.

Previously, Windows screwed up drivers installation.
After uninstalling old drivers, I don't know why everytime I install 1009 or 1010, it will install back 1008 drivers instead of installng the new drivers. Never notice this earlier cos never go check device manager.

Sometimes, it even install back 1004 dvb-c drivers instead of 1010.

No wonder cannot get the combined drivers to work even when I'm sure I did everything correctly.

Use the old fashion way of uninstalling and installing via Windows Device Manager fixed the problem.

User problem.

I dun think it's just user issue, cos I'm experiencing the same thing too.

I notice that under Device Manager I'm still reading the driver version as 1.0.0.4, though under Details, the sys file version is the newer one 1.0.0.10. I think this is something that should be fixed by TBS in the installation/uninstallation routine.

I don't know why TBS use this way to combine the drivers, don't think it is good.

Yeah... the proper way should be to create a logical device for each DVB-T/T2 and DVB-C... thus a total of 2 logical devices.
