Problem with continuity errors, when is rainy.

Hi,

my location: Poland
my configuration:
Dish 90cm, at HOTBIRD 13 E
LNB GOLDEN INTERSTAR GI-202 HD
cable: full cu (televes)
Motherboard PC: ASUS P9X79 PRO


I buy TBS 6928 few month ago, and i have problems till now with continuity errors.
Signal strength is about 99% and quality 83% in good wheather conditions. (windy or cloudy wheather is not a problem).
I have contionuty errors (packet losses) when is rainy. At this time signal is lower about 1-3% depends in rain stregth.

I tested, changed cable, f connectors, lnbs (inverto ultra black) do everything i can. But errors still are when is rainy.
I think this happen only at DVBS-2 channels, beacause at one HD channel at DVBS card working fine all the time, and rain is not a problem (0 con errors).

Do you mean only when is rainy you have the continuity errors,windy or cloudy weather has not this problem?
If like this,it is very common ,because it is the signal problem,when is rainy the signal is not good enough.

Yes, mainly when is rainy, then randomly i get continuity errors. No rain - no errors..
Im not a sat expert but signal looks like to very good.. and all the installation was checked by proffesional installer.
So i think it looks like a card problem, maybe driver and cooperating with motherboard or maybe the card is damaged?

Hi horn3t.
The rain affect all signals. C-band is less affected than Ku-band. That's not a drivers problem or some hardware problem.
Maybe you need an little big dish or better lnb. But before change something, check signal and quality with good weather and try to adjust it.

You mean getting continuity errors and video glitches caused by a litte rain is normal? even with antenna (90cm) in good location with good lnb like inverto? I dont think so...

we have a antenna (120cm),when is rain we will get continuity errors too.So this is a normal case,
please do not worry about this.

tested now changing pci express x1 (mini) slot to other pci express x16. Today is rainy, signal is lower 79%-81% and at this moment no errors.

ups 6 errors now :S

testing now with another dvb card and signal properties is a much better and different from TBS 6928. So maybe u are wrong with your opinions.
i guess the card is damaged but need more testing whith wheather conditons.

edit.

Signal is stable, didnt get any errors, rain not effect signal as on the TBS 6928, so its damaged or sth.
I will return this card to TBS for repair.
