think i figured out ..

the "Skip initial bytes:" in tvheadend was preventing scanning..

investigating further - the diseqc works on first boot, and first tune - just like when wrong mode is selected.
using tbs opensource drivers i have the

create text file "/etc/modprobe.d/mxl5xx.conf" with line:

Is there any issue with the latest opensource drivers? i've updated but now diseqc is no longer working? although it seems stuck on port 2 of my switchs? think it's not that much.. don't know what cpu is in moi pro... but with my quad core xeon 1225 v3, i don't see oscam going over 0.3% cpu descrambling 2 channels, but i think the work is done in tvheadend anyway.. tvheadend is showing about 10% CPU max, but hovers around 7% (of 1 core) with 2x HD ch...

i want to try the WinTV DUalHD update you have done with my 6909.
but when i build your drivers my 6909 stops working and i have no idea how to install both at the same time :/

you can use a quad lnb and watch 8 different transponders, or 8 channels (or more if channels on same transponders). (you don't need quattro) you shouldn't need 2x quad lnbs.. you could probably just split them with splitters as long as the same feed goes to the exact same input on both cards.. of c...

afaik, you hardly need much CPU - only if you are trans-coding the video into a smaller format.

my raspberyr pi3 can descramble 4 channels at once no problem..
