Re: My TBS 8921 has arrived

Hi ,My LNB input set is low 9750 ,high 10600, switch 11700, command is "E0 10 38 F3",shows ok. @Steven, I can't follow you. There's something missing. You've described the settings for an universal LNB but you didn't tell the lnb/port selection. Your command corresponds to high band / hor...

Re: szap-s2 works, scan-s2 does not

Apparently you are trying to scan transponders from 19E.
10773H has been switched off ;) Did you check your diseqc settings?

Re: No signal after wake up from standby

..just for clarification: "normal" means the level that is applied by the TBS driver for band switching (continuous tone). The amplitude -8dB applies for the blind scan tool.

Re: No signal after wake up from standby

you say it's at the moment -8dB less the "normal"? yep, 8dB below "normal". but is there specification what is considered "normal"? There are recommendations for diseqc (Eutelsat, BUS FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATION, VERSION 4.2) The nominal 22 kHz signalling amplitude is 650...

Re: My TBS 8921 has arrived

And about the TSReader if maybe take more times to lock the transponder,It is a problem in TSReader.dll,It will be sloved later! It's not only about speed, TSReader in combination with TBS 8921 is sending wrong DiSEqC commands, at least for multiswitch arrangements. e.g.: If DiSEqC Port1 is selecte...

Re: No signal after wake up from standby

Dunno whether there's a relationship with what I have observed concerning the blind scan tool. Users have made complaints about missing 22KHz. At least for the new version 2.0.1.2 of the TBS8921 BlindScan.exe this is not really true. The tone is present but the tone amplitude is less than half (-8dB...

Re: Poor Performance

Same situation for DVB-S and very low SR. But the culprit can't be the digital demodulator. A look at the 2 screenshots shows, that though there are lot of "missing" or unknown ts_packets there is a lock because at least some mpeg packets and SI tables are received correctly. The correct m...

Re: Poor Performance

Another test on Eutelsat W2A at 10.0°E (no feeds). With the reference a complete scan of 27 transponders was performed in 70s. It took the TBS 8921 3 times longer (210s) with 8 missing results [X] out of 27 ;( [SATTYPE] 1=0100 2=Eutelsat W2A at 10.0°E 3=6 4=9750 5=10600 6=11700 [DVB] 0=27 1=11144,H,...

Re: Poor Performance

there is no point arguing over this when there is definitive way to understand what's really going on I agree. The frequency spectrum of a (qpsk) modulated carrier is symmetrical. If the pll manages to catch the carrier below and above the center frequency then there shouldn't be a hole in the midd...

Re: Poor Performance

..to make it clearer, another example. I've scanned 42E with transedit. 1st with my TeVii 470S. The card locked on 51 transponders (date and provider, if available). This list was rescanned with the TBS 8921. There were 13 transponders with no lock [X] (the number can vary). Then I took >19=11839,V,...
