Has anyone tested if there is any change with the last TBS driver + CIdll and the DVBViewer? I'm not expecting any, so i'm reluctant to screw with my current setup just to test it, but it would be interesting to know

I'm currently testing 4theRecord, and i'm quite pleased with it. Like MediaPortal it works flawlessly with the TBS Card and brings some of the features i've missed since the departure from the DVBViewer. I can give my account on what the problem is. I assume it is the same with atef: since the workaround (frequently unloading/reloading the tbs dll) in different circumstances this "reset" fails and causes the DVBViewer recording service to crash. A simple restart of the service fails, only ...

I've checked it out, and it looks nice. So far i could test it, it works good, even with encrypted channels. Very quick channel switching.
I can imagine that new customers of the card will love the simplicity of it. Nice work.

The latest version of the DVBViewer Recording Service has some workaround, but it introduced even more serious problems, at least for me. The current solution of the DVBViewer adressing the problem with your card, is not reliable enough, so i'll switch back to MediaPortal which does work perfectly. Sadly the support is still not a 100% there. It seems that the workaround has some consequences that might not be easily be fixed.
