Re: heavy discontinuity/errors with TBS 6985

It is hardware or software error which will be not fixed - TBS just ignores us. My solution was to through away TBS6985 and to buy four TBS6925 cards. They just work perfect. Also problem is not only with HD channels on tbs6985. I advise you to try turning off three tuners and to use only one with t...

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

I've made lot's of testing. Opensource driver works now thanks to Luis. I can see far less problems with opensource drivers (at least I see no 'hangs'). But it seems that my problem is really in hardware, cause I can see artifats while watching HD channels (any high bit rate channel). Other tuners w...

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

Unfortunatelly I have no experience personnaly in writing such stuff and Luis said that he can do nothing without real hardware in his hands, cause he need to sniff i2c bus using oscilloscope in order to detect what should be initialized. Talking about 'TBS frontend drivers some buggy, often crash' ...

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

Card is claimed by manufacturer to be linux compatible, but by the fact linux drivers are not good. Problem was reported long ago, but manufacturer claims motherboards to be the reason and it sounds strange. Also it's not always easy to write open source drivers for known components - manufacturers ...

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

I've tested my card in three different motherboards at my home with same LNB. Result is: it's all OK on windows. And it's NOT OK on linux on every motherboard. Personally I have Asus Deluxe Z87 motherboard which is really great. My conclusion is that problem is inside linux driver. TBS, please fix t...

Re: Continuity Counter Errors

I have same problems - TBS6985. There are no problems with SD channels at all, but i'm having errors with HD channels when more then one adapter is in use. There are no problems in case only one adapter is used. Any chances to fix that ? (i'm using latest drivers with msi interrupts on). I have ASUS...
