Re: About SAT>IP discuss

@gfi based on what you're saying, i believe you mean not so much the dvr buffer, which can be changed from application side, but more the buffer used for data transfer from the side of the driver - that depends not just on the driver, but as well on the usb-endpoint settings. anyway, i believe i get...

Re: About SAT>IP discuss

...is need precompile driver with value of DVR_BUFFER *16 (!)...Higher value of DVR buffer is needed too. correct me if i'm wrong and misunderstand what you mean, but isn't default DVR buffer size set and changed from the application side via DMX_SET_BUFFER_SIZE ioctl without any need of rebuilding...

Re: Damaged DVB-S2 stream

6991 auto-detects QPSK and 8PSK in hardware... so, i tested 12721H on Astra 19.2E and i can confirm small packet loss - nothing close to the packet-rate-loss you get though on your DVBlast log. also, in my case the packet loss is not Linux-related - i observed the same in Windows, but as i mentioned...

Re: Damaged DVB-S2 stream

that actually indicates massive corruption. please, run more simple DVBlast command line: dvblast -c dvblast.conf -f 12721750 -s 22000000 -v 18 -a 1 and paste your output from it here again. thanks. in the meantime i will try to reposition one dish to Astra 19.2 and test on the same signal and provi...

Re: Damaged DVB-S2 stream

what you've done with sasc-ng doesn't answer anything, because it could be your smart-card reader is not set properly, i.e. it causes delay/lag in the keys, which leads immediately to picture (and sound) corruption. also, that doesn't rule out problem with what displays that video/audio data like co...

Re: Damaged DVB-S2 stream

I have tried different interrupt settings, no improvement. I also tried options dvb-core dvb_demux_speedcheck=1 syslog shows me [ 6298.841141] TS speed 61867 Kbits/sec [ 6299.427149] TS speed 61867 Kbits/sec [ 6300.021251] TS speed 62287 Kbits/sec [ 6300.607240] TS speed 62287 Kbits/sec [ 6301.2095...

Re: Damaged DVB-S2 stream

current rate-limit is 65 Mbps. so, it can't be that. next idea i have is: create text configuration file "/etc/modprobe.d/tbs.conf" with line inside: options saa716x_tbs-dvb ci_spd=1 then you need to reboot to activate it. that will reduce the CI access speed in case your CAM doesn't like ...

Re: Damaged DVB-S2 stream

please, provide us with full transponder parameters of the locked signal. also, Linux driver version installed. currently, my best guess is that it's related to transponder data-rate, because latest Linux drivers for 6991 have rate-limit activated by default, which can be disabled. thank you

Re: cx25840 firmware load failed

cx25840 is analogue TV core inside cx23885 chip, but there is no any analogue TV functionality implemented on 6981 card and that's why cx25840 core of cx23885 chip is not used on 6981 board. so, maybe on your 6981 card the cx25840 core part of the cx23885 chip is broken, but since it's not used for ...

Re: TBS Linux driver v130506 availabe

@bolausson

if you get the frontend initialized then enough of the drivers are installed and then the problem is somewhere else - you can test your card with 'czap' and 'scan' and then if it works with the simple tools proceed.
