For diagnosis I did a lsusb on my Linux server and I got
- Code: Select All Code
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 734c:5910 TBS Technologies China
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Looking at the S2QBOX.inf files in the x86 folder there does not seem to be that code. There is ..
- Code: Select All Code
[TBS]
"QBOX DVB-S2 BDA"= QBOXS2BDA.Device, USB\VID_734C&PID_5920
"QBOX DVB-S2 BDA"= QBOXS2BDA.Device, USB\VID_734C&PID_5928
If I manually change the 5920 to be 5910 then the driver installs .... but still does not work with Windows Media Centre - I get a blue screen
On my Ubuntu server the installation looks correct
- Code: Select All Code
dvb-usb: found a 'TBS QBOX DVBS USB2.0' in cold state, will try to load a firmwar
dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-tbsqbox-id5910.fw'

dvb-usb: found a 'TBS QBOX DVBS USB2.0' in warm state.
dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer.
DVB: registering new adapter (TBS QBOX DVBS USB2.0)

tbsqboxs1: Attached stv0288!
DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (ST STV0288 DVB-S)...
but szap2 doesn't seem to get a lock on (no green light)
Any clues?
